The difference between white corundum segment sand and white corundum powder

White corundum is produced from high-quality alumina powder through electrolytic refining and crystallization. Moderate hardness, high purity, good self-sharpening, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, stable thermal performance. Compared with brown corundum, it has higher hardness, lower toughness, stronger grinding force, less heat generation and high efficiency. It can be used to make abrasive tools, polish high-strength carbon steel, high-speed steel and stainless steel, and can also be used for precision casting and advanced refractory materials.

White corundum powder has good chemical stability and good insulation. Compared with brown corundum, white corundum is harder, more brittle and has greater cutting force. It can be used as coated abrasive, wet sandblasting or dry sandblasting, suitable for super grinding and polishing, producing high-grade refractory materials, etc. It is suitable for the processing of crystal and electronic industries, suitable for hardened steel, alloy steel, high-speed steel, high-carbon steel and other materials with high hardness and high tensile strength.

White corundum abrasive can also be used as contact medium, insulator and sand for precision casting. White corundum abrasive does not affect the color of mechanical parts, and can be used for sandblasting in the process where iron residue is strictly prohibited. White corundum micropowder is ideal for wet blasting and polishing operations. The processing speed is high, the quality is high, and the content of iron oxide is very small. Traditional white corundum abrasives are prepared by melting high-temperature raw materials in an electric arc furnace. White corundum blocks are processed and finely ground, then hydraulically sorted into white corundum abrasives of different particle sizes.

To prepare white corundum powder, that is, sintered white corundum powder, the powder raw material is molded and heated at a temperature lower than the melting point, so as to combine, bond, eutectic, recrystallize, etc. with each other. Under the action of additives, the sintering is dense and has certain performance. It can cut very hard materials and can also be made into a sphere to machine precision workpieces to very low roughness. Due to its high density, sharp and angular structure, it is a fast cutting abrasive. The natural crystalline structure of white corundum provides high hardness and fast cutting performance. At the same time, they are often used as raw materials for bonded tools and coated abrasives. White fused alumina can be reused in standard blasting, the number of cycles and material grades are process dependent. The applicable industries of white corundum segment sand include aviation industry, automobile industry, foundry industry, semiconductor industry, etc.
