Electrofused white corundum White emery

ElectrofusionWhite corundumA brief introduction

Electrofused white corundum is also commonly known as “molten alumina”, is made of industrial alumina or calcined alumina as raw material, smelted at high temperature in an electric furnace, the main crystal phase is α-Al2O3, and the alumina content is also more than 99%. Its own white color, dazzling, with high purity, good sharpness, strong grinding power, high temperature acid and alkali corrosion resistance, etc., widely used in abrasives, steel, cement, petrochemical and other industries, is also an important raw material for the production of high-quality refractory materials.

Uses of electrofused white corundum
Electrofused white corundum mainly uses its characteristics of large crystallization, high hardness and high refractory in terms of use. It can usually be used to make refractory aggregates (large ladle castables, medium and high iron trench castables, spray feedings), insulating fillers, wear-resistant sand or corundum products such as corundum porous plug bricks for refining, integral spray guns and composite water nozzles, and high-temperature industrial kiln linings.
As mentioned above, electrofused white corundum alumina has a high content and is resistant to high temperatures. Therefore, if it is not reacted in the electric furnace, but once it becomes a molten liquid, its temperature and cooling rate and other factors will have a great impact on the structure of the block. Therefore, attention is needed.
